Woodstock got it's best when the Dave Matthews Band showed up.
The crowd went crazy. It's what they wanted, and needed.
DMB, after all, is THE BEST OF WHAT'S AROUND! The temp was in
the high 90s. The heat index soared to 105. And Dave --- well,
Dave was HOT.
The site swarmed with people as DMB played the opening chords of "#41."
Dave made sure to acknowledge the crowd's support several times by playing more aggressively
than usual. The band turned "Don't Drink the Water" into a hard-driving arena-rock song.
Dave was in good spirits as he conversed with fans [sometimes unintelligibly] between songs.
One clear comment echoed a recurring theme: "Today, there's an abundance of titties," he said, stating the obvious, since hundreds of topless women
were gathered in front of the stage and around the entire Woodstock site.
